Tetons

The weekend of October 16, 2009, we headed up to a cabin outside of the Tetons to celebrate our 15th dating anniversary. We spent Friday night in Jackson, and then hiked around String Lake and up to Leigh Lake on Saturday. This was a really nice hike that we had pretty much to ourselves, with great late fall weather. We spent some time on Leigh Lake checking out the campsites on the west side and just enjoying the day. After getting back to the car, we headed to the cabin we had rented for the night on the side of Slide Lake, and just enjoyed the evening. On Sunday we hiked out to Taggart Lake. This was another nice hike, but I was glad we had gotten it out of the way during the off-season, because this trail gets really crowded in the peak tourist season. We drove back home down 89 and through Logan Canyon, but the leaves were way past peak.
