These are pictures from our first trip to the Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park in July 2001. We backpacked for an overnighter at Leigh Lake. It’s funny to look back on now. This was the first time I ever used a digital camera…and I borrowed it from a co-worker. I also didn’t even want to go to Yellowstone because I figured it would be too crazy crowded…and later we fell in love with it. This was also our first backpacking trip into grizzly country.
