The weekend of February 8, 2014, we explored around southern Utah. We spent the night in Green River before heading into the desert. We first went to Ding Canyon in the San Rafael Swell. This was a nice hike in a slot canyon, with a few non-technical obstacles that made it interesting.
We then camped out that night near Ticaboo, and then headed out to Smith Fork Canyon the next day. I still had one more spot I wanted to check for my Survivorman stuff, and I was able to confirm where the helicopter had landed on the opposite side of Smith Fork from the trailhead.
We then just explored around the area before heading back home. As always, southern Utah is great.
