White Pine Lake

On July 30, 2006, Tracy and I hiked the White Pine Lake trail near the Mount Naomi Wilderness in northern Utah.  The trailhead at Tony Grove Lake was a little crowded, and you have to pay $3 to park at the trailhead, but we had made the drive, so we went ahead and paid the fee and hiked the trail.  The trail itself wasn’t too crowded, and it was a really pretty hike.  The lake is down in a glacial basin, and that was really cool.  There were a lot of meadows, which seem to be a rarity in the rock covered mountains of Utah.  It was a nice hike, though, and the other trails in the area seemed worth checking out.
