In September 2001, we took our first backpacking trip in Colorado into the Hunter-Fryingpan Wilderness. It was a really nice hike, and there weren’t any other people out there. The lake was nice, and the elevation gain wasn’t too bad.
Mountains aren't worth dying for, but they are worth risking dying for. Make no mistake, my alpine goal is to die in bed, old, laughing and smiling...before I undertake that final, inevitable expedition. I hope I find mountains there, too. - Gregory Crouch
