Stephens Gap Cave

On June 25, 2016, Layne, Tracy, and I went to check out Stephens Gap Cave.  This is another very popular SCCi cave, and the entrances are really pretty.  The cave itself is pretty short, but there is one horizontal entrance right next to a vertical entrance, which makes for some really pretty pictures from inside the cave.  There is a bit of a hike up to the cave, but it’s not bad.  The horizontal entrance is a little steep, but it’s not a problem as long as you watch your step.  But be careful near the top of the entrances, as some people aren’t accustomed to being around vertical cave entrances, so it can be dangerous.  It’s definitely not a good location for kids.

This is not the actual location of the cave.
