Walls of Jericho

On July 26, 2015, my friend Aaron and I took a dayhike up to the Walls of Jericho in north-eastern Alabama.  The hike starts at the top of the canyon and drops steeply down into the river drainage.  This is a very popular trail, but there weren’t many people, probably because it was the height of summer.

The hike wasn’t too bad, though.  The Walls at the end of the trail are some interesting rock formations, and I can see why the trail is so popular.  To be honest, though, I felt like the trail was way too much effort for the reward at the end.  I know, I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but the Rockies have definitely spoiled me.

It was still a good hike, and it was nice to get out and enjoy the mountains.
